OHS&E Agreement
In 1998 the Pulp and Paper Industry OHS&E Unit prepared the first OHS&E Agreement for the Pulp and Paper Industry. At that time an Environment Agreement was also struck between the union and major employers within the industry.
In 2003 work began on amalgamating these Agreements to provide one user-friendly document covering these key issues. The OHS&E Agreement was developed by the Pulp and Paper Industry OHS&E Unit, in consultation with both the CFMEU and major industry employers. The purpose and intent of the Agreements remain, with a focus on the control of risk and appropriate employee consultation in the workplace.
The OHS&E Steering Committee endorsed the final OHS&E Agreement in early 2004. To view the Pulp and Paper Industry Occupational Health, Safety and Environment Agreement 2004 click here.

The OHS&E Agreement will be reviewed by the Pulp and Paper Industry OHS&E Steering Committee periodically to ensure it's priorities remain relevant to the pulp and paper industry.
